Do the mobile safety devices need to be charged?
Yes, they will require charging much like a mobile phone and come equipped with a charging cord. We recommend charging the device overnight.
Are the mobile safety devices assigned to each worker?
You can assign devices to individuals, or you can also just have workers login to a random device.
Are there any privacy issues I need to be concerned about?
The data being collected is only associated with the PPE that is being worn, PPE compliance, worker information (optional field which can include age, tenure, safety history, disciplinary history or other pertinent data relevant to a risk profile), and time spent in zones. There are no incidents, medical information or any other personal information being gathered by the system.
Are there any security concerns about the system?
The Corvex Connected Safety™ solution is a self-contained solution which only requires a secure connection to the Internet and does not interface with your company intranet.
Can a worker make phone calls with the mobile safety device?
Yes and no. A fully-featured communications offering allows workers to communicate much like they would with a phone between one another through voice or video means. They cannot, however, communicate outside of the Corvex network with the device.
Is the safety device durable?
Yes, the Corvex Core device is waterproof, dust proof, was drop tested at 4 feet, and can withstand temperatures from -4°F to 140°F.
Can we use our own devices?
Currently, the platform only supports our Core devices. In the future, you will be able to use your own devices for specific tasks, as long as they can support the Corvex Connected Safety software functionality.
